Here’s two renders of the final version model (although rw mirrors are still missing, but it’s basically finished). I can tell you that beta is coming soon.. Hope you like it! =)
Some update info:
Note that displayed here is one set of wheels, however the mod will contain much more =) There are 3 rim types for this tire only. Beside different wheels, mod currently contains 11 types of upgrades all customizable by the player including different suspensions sets, engines, body styles and parts..
The mod will utilize the latest KSzczech SRPL shaders which will be installed by Lemax.
PS: in-game screenshot coming soon =)
I was informed by my contacts who spotted this Yugo, just after it exited the factories. Right away I took a trip following this prototype around mountains around Zlatibor (probably winter conditions test), and later in Grobnik, Croatia. The car was modified with a different front spoiler, new set of racing tires, suspension has been lowered, and few parts were removed as far as we could see, for the track test in Grobnik. We have received information that the engine might not be an expected finishing build.
I made this video and the livery as a parody parody to BMW spy videos xD and as a promo for an upcoming mod! It’s hard to spot the working suspension, but it’s in there as well =)
Hope you enjoyed the video =) More info soon!
Previous week I’ve been modelling the underside and suspension for the Yugo mod I’ve been making with Lemax. It’s all WIP for now (of course). The textures especially are quite poor and need to be fixed, I am posting this to show that the mod is progressing a bit every day and that it’s not “dead” =P. The chassis and front end have taken completely new shape, too, but I will show more after Lemax completes the car interior =)
It is true that the underside wont be very visible almost all of the time, but constructing it in 3d helped me to understand how exactly the Yugo suspension works, so I can properly build the physics. I am also planning to make a camera that will exclusively show the underside and how it works.
When all the modelling of underside is done and all the data files modified, the suspension will also be moveable in-game in a way that physics tell, very close to how it works in reality.. I myself can’t wait to see that function =)
Happy New Year folks! I am finnaly back from a long journey, and I have something new to present to you!
Here is my most recent project I did. It’s a circuit in Republic of Macedonia in the town of Kičevo. A track that is actually a part of a quite poorly maintained military base with lots of overgrown grass and bushes.. Driving is quite tricky, track surface is uneven and trackside area is dangerous (just like most of the circuits in ex-Yugoslavia). What made me make this track is the fact that I had an advantage, and that is that I knew exactly what techniques I’d use from the early start so I managed to make the whole track in just under a week, mostly spending time in Bob’s track builder, with only doing the final finish in 3dsimed.
Though the simple tools I used, the track still looks impressive. I tried to make it visually as close as possible to the real one.
With the help from MJanosh, a real race driver (and as well a good virtual one xD) from AKKNK team, I knew from first hand how to design and where to put certain bumps, runoff areas and trackside objects to give a track the true spirit and feeling. After many track transfers and him reporting me “YOU DID IT BAD!” =p, I finished it and sent it to MJanosh for final testing, he confirmed that it is [almost] 100% real! Which finally gave me lots of relief =)
Since no other people from his team or Macedonia knew about the project while it was made, he made an announcement on his team’s forums that the big surprise is about to be uncovered in the form of an online race. When the venue’s name was unveiled in a video, the people were truly surprised and enjoyed the first public online race he prepared all with the Yugos, and authentic car perfect for the setting. xD

And of course.. Enjoy driving people!
I have finally finished Ušće track and published it. It has many many track and graphical improvements, and also now it comes with a wet version (thanks to Lemax) =) It also uses the wonderful SRPL shaders for water rendering!
I also included a parc ferme system, that I think is lacking in most of simulations. I also added an improvized podium at which, at the end of an online race, drivers could climb to celebrate and take some scenic photos =)
You can download the track directly here:

And DON’T FORGET that you need SRPL shaders to run the track aswell:

New models for Port Imperial GP, and comparisons to real location:
I imported these new models just to test how they look in game.. There is still a lot of things to be fixed.. Mark has also done a big progress with few buildings, and FloFlo is working on the Sewage treatment plant… Everything is running just fine =)
Now it’s about two years into making of this track, and I invested a lot of work into it to get it as close as possible to the real one.. After publishing the open beta, and getting positive feedback, I improved it a lot.. The difference between the 0.7 beta and a 0.91 work in progress is big, and I hope there won’t be long until I finally publish 1.0, but I can’t promise the date, cause I did that a lot of times =) and I broke every deadline..
Now I made a list of things I need to change until 1.0 (there are 8 left), and I am sure I wont extend the list! I am also simultaneously working on optimisation and size reduction =)

An exclusive screen of Lemax’s and mine Yugo Reborn mod. We are intending to make a factory made Yugo koral 55 which could be upgraded (thanks to rfactor’s powerfull engine) to the top-notch racing version, all with accurate models, precise physics and engine performances.

I am happy to announce that the New Jersey track team is growing!
FloFloF1 (worked for RFT and WCP) and Mark Edwards (http://www.scorchingcraniums.com/) have joined the modeling team. We are about to plan out and divide the jobs.. Kyle Puttifer will do the AIWs. I also have two more on location contacts who will supply references if needed.. There has been a lot of requests for testing.. Calm down people… We haven’t even started yet!
